Jayantha Prabhu to head India business at AGC Networks

Jayantha Prabhu, the Essar Group CIO, has taken up the additional responsibility of heading the India business of AGC Networks, a global solution integrator. 

AGC Networks, an Essar Group company, represents leading brands in Unified Communications, Network Infrastructure & Data Center, Cyber Security and Enterprise Applications to evolve the customer's digital landscape. AGC is a leader in enterprise communications in India and has significant presence across the Middle East, Africa, North America, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Philippines and the UK serving over 3000 customers. 

At present, Jayantha Prabhu holds the position of Group CIO for Essar Group. In this role, he is responsible for the Group IT strategy, enterprise architecture, information security, project delivery, Green IT and Sustainability. As the CIO of Essar Group Companies, Jayantha has set up the technology vision and transformed different business processes by adopting mobility, cloud, analytics and digital to drive business growth. He has been associated with the conglomerate since 1999. Jayantha has also been a part of the jury at the NEXT100 Awards, organized by ITNEXT. He also featured in the list of most social Indian CIOs on Twitter, prepared by CIO&Leader.
