5 Ways to save smartphone battery juice

Judicious use of various apps and functionalities will enhance Smartphones battery life

Turn off WiFi

If you are on the road or dont plan on connecting to a Wi-Fi hotspot, consider turning off your Wi- Fi network connection to save battery life on your BlackBerry smartphone.

Turn off unused connections

Along with WiFi, you may also want to turn off Bluetooth and NFC when you are not using these wireless connectivity options.

Watch those apps!
Apps that push notifications to your mobile device or frequently update data (typically weather apps or news apps) can drain your battery quite speedily by downloading huge amounts of incoming data during the day. So you may want to switch off or uninstall apps like this to maximise battery life.

Adjust Brightness settings
If your screen stays illuminated long enough for you to walk a few blocks, dig into the settings of your device and decrease the brightness and timeout time as brightness eats into battery life.

Reduce notification bells and whistles
Reducing or eliminating long audio sequences and sounds (like 45-second musical scores) or vibration notifications on your smartphone device can add extra time to your battery.
