New initiative to help enterprises accelerate the cloud

Augmented services from iGATE include building different types of cloud, migrating existing apps and cloud-based testing

iGATE has announced an expansion of its flagship advisory service, the Cloud Acceleration Program (CAP).

The augmented service offers customers support in their initiatives to build public, private and hybrid clouds, migrate their existing application and systems portfolios, implement cloud-based development and testing environments, and pursue downstream offerings around cloud security, governance, risk management and compliance.

The continued success of our Cloud Acceleration Program indicates that customers are seeking help in creating cloud roadmaps and implementing faster migration plans. With the demand for cloud services expected to be in the range of $120 billion and $135 billion by 2015, we see greater interest from our clients to accept and exploit the benefits of cloud. The transformative nature of cloud is helping our customers create new business opportunities as they harness its power to roll out new business services and explore better ways to improve their productivity, said Anil Bajpai, Sr. Vice President and Head of Research and Innovation, iGATE.

While the bulk of cloud deployments have historically focused on Software as a Service (SaaS) on public clouds, we see a bright future in platform plays around private and hybrid cloud environments. We are able to provide customization, integration and vertical solution implementations with our decades of IT service experience, strong knowledge of vertical segments and proven ability to accelerate customers cloud adoption, said Vish Mavathur, Vice President and Head, Cloud Services, iGATE.

The iGATE cloud program will engage in five major strategic initiatives: Developing cloud strategies, designing cloud deployments, transitioning applications to the cloud, operating services in the cloud, and improving focus on productivity by linking investments to business outcomes.
