The company has agreed to provide monitoring solution to the India government

New Delhi: Blackberry, which was confronting a certain ban from Indian authorities over encryption and security issues has agreed to provide the monitoring solution to the Indian government. The company has hence won a two month extension of its services in the country. The government will start analysing the usefulness of these tools starting next month and review the position after two months.

The government, which had earlier threatened to ban the BlackBerry corporate email service, said it will start using the monitoring solutions from Sept. 1 and review the situation in 60 days.

The Canadian company is also required to install its server in India to continue its operations beyond November
