Blue Coat to acquire Crossbeam Systems

The move would lay the foundation for a broader strategy to transform the way businesses network

Systems is all set to acquire network security
company Crossbeam Systems. The two
companies recently entered into an agreement
which will result in Blue Coat acquiring
Crossbeams technology and strengthening its
existing security solutions portfolio.
According to Blue Coat, the Crossbeam
acquisition will help it lay the foundation
for a broader strategy to transform the
way businesses secure and optimize their
networks.

The acquisition is expected to close on
December 31, 2012.
