The country slipped by five places in the network readiness index as compared to last year

New Delhi: Despite making lot of noise in the International corridors, India's rank on the network readiness index has surprisingly gone down to 5 places, reveals a recent report by world economic forum and Insead business school.

The country has fared poorly on almost all criteria included in the NRI to check the network readiness of a country.

According to the report, the country's readiness index has slipped from 43rd rank last year to 48th rank. The index is part of the global information technology report 2010-11 published by world economic forum and Insead business school.

While Sweden tops the 201011 rankings for the second time, china has obtained 36th rank and features among the 10 most dynamic countries worldwide.
