Bank of Baroda teams up with HP for growth

HP will provide application modernization services and business intelligence to support new business services

New Delhi: HP and Bank of Baroda have entered into an agreement, to support the latters rapid expansion plans, streamline operations and utilize emerging technologies to deliver innovative new services. According to the release, the bank plans to implement HPs Instant-On Enterprise, which embeds technology in everything it does to serve customers, employees, partners, and citizens with whatever they need, instantly.

At Bank of Baroda, we are embarking on a new phase of banking transformation that will allow us extend our growth into new and existing markets. Technology is an integral part of this transformation providing us the agility to address changing market dynamics, says M. D. Mallya, chairman and managing director, Bank of Baroda, India.

According to the official release, HP will provide application modernization services and business intelligence to support new business services. HP consulting services will map out the datacenter transformation, utilizing converged infrastructure, which includes server, storage and networking. The company will also a roll out a mobile banking solution platform allowing customers to access banking services through mobile devices.

HP has global experience in helping financial institutions meet these challenges. The agreement with Bank of Baroda takes advantage of this experience, along with HPs broad portfolio of products and services, to modernize its services, create a more flexible technology environment and strengthen its competitiveness, comments Leo Apotheker, CEO, HP.
