New Delhi: Brocade has appointed Edgar Dias as regional director of Enterprise Business for Asia Pacific (APAC). The company informs that Dias will be based in Singapore and will lead the companys enterprise strategy and manage its direct-touch sales force.
A key charter for Dias will be to develop and execute strategies, programs designed to grow Brocades business of its enterprise networking portfolio in APAC across a number of Enterprise verticals specifically Government, Media and Entertainment, High Performance Computing, Education and Healthcare. Industry research firm IDC predicts that the enterprise networking market in APAC will be about $10.6 billion in 2011 growing to more than $13.5 billion by 2014.(1)
Prior to joining Brocade, Dias served as sales director at Juniper Networks where he was responsible for its Campus and Data Center businesses. Before that, Dias spent 10 years at Nortel Networks where he was responsible for sales of its data communications product portfolio across Asia, Middle East and Africa.
Edgars 15 years of industry experience gives him an intimate understanding of the APAC enterprise business climate and the enterprise networking segment , said Deb Dutta, vice president of Brocade Asia Pacific. I am confident that he will add strategic depth to this role and will strengthen our executive bench in APAC.
There are signs of real momentum for Brocade in the Asia Pacific enterprise market in both our traditional storage networking business as well as our newer IP/Ethernet networking business said Dias.
