It is very important for a CIO to monitor the work of his team members. At Angel Broking, there was no automated process which could have been used to find out who is doing what work in the company. The need of the hour was, therefore, to build an application that could track the work schedule and performance of an individual.
Innovative Idea
To counter this issue, the company created a Task Tracker which could track what every individual was doing in the company and thus monitor the performance of the team. Once the Task Tracker was created, the progress of the IT team could be monitored automatically by the CIO or the IT Head of the company. This also meant that the CIO could monitor, on a regular basis, how every IT project was shaping up.
Benefits
With the creation of the Task Tracker, every individual knows what is expected of him/her and can work accordingly. Moreover, a team also knows what is the stipulated time to finish a task and this they can plan the work accordingly. The creation of the Task Tracker proved to be very beneficial for the organisation as it enhanced productivity in a big way.
