Fabindia integrates suppliers, retailers with SQL Server

The data management soln from Microsoft helps Fabindia boost performance and handle data growth across 150+ stores

Fabindia, India's largest private platform for products made from traditional techniques, skills and hand-based processes, has embarked on an aggressive expansion plan to take the brand to tier 2 and 3 cities and set up more stores over the next three years.

In this regard, the company needed better tools for integrating, processing, and analyzing its growing data to aid in more informed business decisions. The company deployed Microsoft SQL Server to gain a powerful and highly available data-processing foundation, easy-to-use business intelligence tools, and scalability into cloud environments.

Microsoft SQL Server data management software has enabled Fabindia to integrate its current 150-plus stores PoS application databases into centralized information-sharing and business intelligence (BI) solution, creating a complete information value chain connecting suppliers and retailers on the same platform.

The solution at Fabindia was implemented by Path Infotech, a Microsoft Gold-certified partner that specialises in SQL.
