Kaspersky forays into enterprise security space

It has set a $4 million revenue target for enterprise business in this calendar year

New Delhi: After seeing fair success in retail security business, Kaspersky Lab, an antivirus solutions provider, has decided to enter into enterprise security business in India. As part of its channel strategy, Kaspersky has appointed four national distributors to focus on enterprise security.

Jagannath Patnaik, Director, Channel Sales (South Asia), Kaspersky Lab India said, Enterprise business is going to be big focus for us going forward and we have roped in Coimbatore based ECaps Computer, Kolkata based SEA Infonet, Mumbai based Comguard and Chennai based iValue Solutions as our distributors.

Besides carrying the enterprise suite, which will be shipped soon, the distributors will also address post sales support for the solutions.

According to Patnaik, the product caters to the small and large enterprise customers using up to about 10,000 licenses. The product range includes Kaspersky Work Station Security, Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security for midsized company and Kaspersky Total Space Security solution for large companies.
The vendor has provided intensive training to the distributors in Mumbai and Delhi, and expands its pre-sales and support team.

Patnaik has set a $4 million revenue target for enterprise business in this calendar year. We intend to garner $15 million from our overall business in this year, maintained Patnaik.

On the retail business front, Kaspersky has discontinued partnership with Zoom Technologies. Now, Sakri IT solution will push the retail business, along with 12 platinum partners across the regions.
