New Delhi: Finnish Handset maker Nokia has been debarred from offering push mail service in the country by government of India until an approved monitoring system is in place. According to the news reports, the ban is in keeping with the government's growing security concerns. The government has previously asked Research In Motion to provide the country's security services with access to the BlackBerry firm's Enterprise mail service by an already elapsed March 31 deadline.
The decision is considered as a big blow to the leading handset producer who had launched its free push email services for the high end smartphones customers in India in 2010.
