The Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet from Asus features Android Honeycomb 3.2, 10.1" screen, USB port

Asus Technology has unveiled its long-anticipated Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet, which features Nvidia's Tegra 3 processor and Google's Android Honeycomb 3.2 operating system.

Available with a 10.1" WXGA Glare (LED) screen, the tablet has a metallic spun finish on an ultra-slim body that is only 8.3 mm thin weighs just 586 grams.

The first tablet to use the Tegra 3 quad-core CPU, the Transformer Prime is touted to browse the web and play 1080p HD video at blazing speeds, in addition to delivering a powerful gaming experience.

The processor is also claimed to enable up to 61 percent lower power consumption, implying 12 hours of battery life for HD video playback.

The Transformer Prime is equipped with the most advanced CMOS sensor and a large aperture design to ensure sufficient light exposure and the ability to defocus the background and put emphasis on the object, making your photos bright and clear. With the high speed auto-focus and color enhancement design, the Transformer Prime can capture a clear and vivid image, claims a company release.

The Transformer Prime offers a choice to enjoy both notebook mode and tablet mode with the optional mobile dock. The mobile dock offers a full QWERTY keyboard with touchpad and a USB port.
