Right person in the right job, are you? Are you paid enough? Do you work for the hottest sector? With the right job profile? Surprised why ITNext asks these questions? You ought to be.
After all, it is all about the salary you earn and the job profile you are associated with which determines your future career path. I am sure most senior and mid-level IT managers would like to have a sense of how the compensation structure in the IT industry is worked out, and what the various variables observed across enterprises are.
Most often, we find that when it comes to the discussion around compensation or salary or remuneration or whatever you may call it, it is always understated--while the curiosity to know what peers get paid is always strong.

There is always an urge to find out what the right structure is and what the industry standards are. In an effort to address this curiosity, team ITNext decided to do a cover feature on the IT managers’ salary survey.
Links of the stories are given at the bottom of the article.
The cover feature titled, “Are you paid enough”? in the April edition of ITNext offers 100 per cent intrinsic and realistic data about the compensation breakup of IT professionals with regard to organisation size, industry vertical, age group, designated groups, regional wise split, skills sets, certifications, and so on.
Besides, an effort is made to support the findings with the perceptions of CEOs, CFOs, CIOs and HR heads--in terms of how they perceive the compensation structure of IT managers and what they should do to better them by acquiring appropriate skills sets.
I recall one of the CEOs saying, “We make it a point to compensate employees at par with industry standards, and continuously look for ways to make our compensation packages more lucrative and fulfilling in terms of the value an employee seeks from the organisation”.
That should say it all.
