Bangalore : Dell India has announced changes in its leadership team in the country, primarily with new leaders for its Large Enterprise (LE) business unit. Sameer Garde, who has been the Dell India country head and led Dells LE business for about last 18 months since the companys reorganization into a customer-centric BU structure, will continue to lead as the country manager for Dell India but moves into an expanded role as the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) Director for Services Sales and Marketing.
In alignment with the companys growth objectives, key changes in the Leadership team are:
Sameer Garde, previously General Manager of Dell Indias Large Enterprise Sales and Country Manager, will be taking on a new and expanded role as Director for Services Sales and Marketing, APJ. Dell Services (erstwhile Perot Systems) is a crucial part of Dells strategy to redefine itself as a solutions provider and redefine the ecosystem of IT services.
Bringing his experience from various leadership roles within Dell International Services and Dell India, Sameer Garde will play an important role in the go-to-market strategy for Dell Services in APJ, as it looks to challenge the monolithic, closed and costly services model that has dominated the industry and create integrated offerings to focus on flexible engagement models that put the customers in control of what they buy and how they consume our services.
Vikas Bhonsle, who has completed a 10-year association with Dell, will be the new General Manager for India LE operations. In his current role leading LE for the western region, he has successfully built a solid team to drive Dells evolution as a key a solutions provider in Indian IT landscape, driving revenue and margin growth.
Continuing the journey to get closer to the customers, the Global Accounts Business will move out of LE to be a part of the larger APJ Global 500 team and will continue to be headed by Suraj Sabberwal.
