IBM bagged Sandhar Technologies deal

The five year outsourcing deal will enable Sandhar to better align its IT initiatives

New Delhi: IBM has bagged a five-year remote managed services outsourcing agreement from Delhi based ancillary group Sandhar Technologies. Under the agreement, IBM will manage the IT infrastructure of Sandhar that will help company to reduce its capital infrastructure.

According to the joint statement, the deal will enable company to align its IT initiatives with business priorities thereby ensuring risk mitigation and substantial cost savings. According to IBM, the scope of managed services includes server management and network and security management.

The services will be remotely carried out from its Global Management Centre in Bangalore.

"The auto ancillary industry in India has tremendous growth potential. The domestic market players are beginning to play a significant role in the global automotive supply chain and are relying heavily on IT to ensure operational efficiency and increase revenues," Ashish Kumar, VP and General Manager at Global Technology Services, IBM India/South Asia said.
