TTSL unveils Blackberry Tour Smartphone

The 3G enabled phone supports CDMA networks in India besides UMTS and HSPA networks abroad

New Delhi: Tata Teleservices (TTSL) and Research in Motion (RIM) have launched new 3G enabled smartphone-Blackberry Tour.

The phone is priced at Rs 27,990 and supports high-speed CDMA networks in India and UMTS/HSPA (2100Mhz) and quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM networks abroad, the company release said.

In addition to the push mail facility, the phone is equipped with 3.2 megapixel camera and video recording support.

The Blackberry Tour, together with our innovative offerings, will appeal to both retail and business customers who want industry-leading email, messaging, social networking, mobile Internet, camera, music and entertainment features while being able to stay seamlessly connected in India as well as internationally, Pradeep Dwivedi, Senior Vice President- Marketing at TTSL said.

The smartphone includes phone features such as voice activated dialing, enhanced background noise cancellation, a low-distortion speakerphone, and Bluetooth support for hands-free headsets, stereo headsets and car kits.

The company claimed the new product can support 10 personal and corporate email accounts.
