Avaya outlines Nortel integration roadmap

The new roadmap includes capabilities incorporated from Nortel Enterprise Solutions

New Delhi : Avaya has unveiled its roadmap for integrating products and services from the recently acquired Nortel Enterprise Solutions (NES).

According to the company statement, the new roadmap builds on the existing Avaya portfolio with capabilities integrated from NES.

The company said that its new vision is based on open standards, communications-enabled business systems and effective, contextual, real-time communications.

The integrated roadmap were outlining today supports Avayas commitment to providing customers with the advanced communications capabilities they need to manage and grow their organisations, said Alan Baratz, senior vice president and president,Global Communications Solutions, Avaya

The company would continue to have a prime focus on Unified communications and SIP and will adopt the current roadmap of NES data products in its entirety.

The company also informed to offer the Avaya Software Communication System, extension of the SIP-based offer from NES for small and medium enterprise customers who want to manage unified communications from their data center.

The integration roadmap reasserts that the products such as Ethernet Switching, Routers, Wireless Networking, Access Control and Unified Management will be included in the Avaya data portfolio.
