New Delhi: Software as a Service (SaaS) market in India is expected to rise to $ 352 million by 2012 from from US$105 million in 2009, predicts the latest SaaS in India 2009/2010 report from Springboard Research.
According to Springboard, while the segment is expected to grow at a CAGR of 60% from 2008 to 2012, the present satisfaction level for SaaS, was found to be 8 on a 10 point scale.
Among the services, e-mail applications scored the highest with 9.5 followed by ERP at 7.6.
Majority of the companies are preferring the use of SaaS applications because of low software maintenance cost, the report reasons.
