In Bangalore : Symantec has announced to acquire Gideon Technologies, a provider of standards-based information security solutions, to boost up its capabilities to provide security solutions to Public sector.
According to Symantec, Gideon's security content automation protocol-validate configuration and vulnerability assessment tool will enhance Symantec's ability to meet the needs of its public sector companies. The transaction is expected to close by the end of this March.
The financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
