Intel launches 2010 series processors in India

Computer makers are expected to release over 400 laptops and desktop designs using the new series

New Delhi : Intel has unveiled its new 2010 CoreT family processors for laptops, desktops and embedded devices in India market. The company, along with the i7, i5 and i3 chips has introduced 25 processors and wireless adapters and chipsets.

The new families of processors are based on the 32 nanometer technology (nm) and boast to have integrated high-definition graphics. User will get double performance seed in comparison to the many existing processors available in the market, says R Ravichandran, director-sales, Intel.

Intel expects that the computer makers will release over 400 laptops and desktop designs using the new series. The shipment of Corei7 range of processors has started for retail market and shipment of Corei3 and i5 range of processors is expected to start from this 17th January, the company informs.

In India systems are likely to be available from OEMs like HCL, Wipro, Zenith, Acer, MSI, Asus, HP, Lenovo, Sony, Toshiba and Dell as well as from local channel partners.

Intel will also offer the new 2010 processor family on Intel vProT Technology later in the quarter to help IT managers and corporations take advantage of hardware-assisted security and manageability capabilities, the company added.
