Western Digital company storage and connected-life products solutions provider has roped in Subroto Das as sales director, India, for its components and branded products businesses. Reporting to Scott Davis, WDs VP of worldwide channel sales, Das is responsible for the sales-management and market-growth strategies of the Indian subcontinent.
India is a diverse and dynamic market, and is critical to WDs continued growth, said Scott Davis. Subrotos broad technologybackground and strong customer relationship skills will benefit WD as digital storage becomes increasingly prevalent in virtually every part of our consumer and commercial lives. His leadership will be instrumental to WDs ongoing expansion into new markets for its products and increased penetration into traditional segments in the region."
Das brings to WD intensive experience gained at Cisco, HP, EMCand IBM, where, in his prior assignment headed the System Storage group for India and South Asia.
