Ever heard of a new service called AnonPlus! According to its creators, this is a free social networking site, where users will be able to network without of fear of censorship of blackout and it will be open for all people not just Anonymous. The project was announced when within hours of several pseudonymous Google+ accounts aligned the hacking group going by the name of Anonymous being shut down. Like Facebook, Google+ requires that users must join using real names.
The other Google accounts of the alleged Anonymous members - Gmail, Google Calendar, Picasa, YouTube, etc. have also been suspended. This is because all Google products are linked together. The moral of the story is that with Google, you are expected to play nice.
It was last year that the hacking group called Anonymous gained notoriety for its cyber attacks against PayPal and Visa, among others, in support of WikiLeaks. The self-styled leaderless collective was founded to battle perceived threats to freedom of speech and anonymity online. In raids across many countries, dozens of members of the Anonymous group have been arrested. The group claims that 18 developers are working on the new social networking project.
One thing is for sure if AnonPlus ever becomes a reality, it wont have integration with Google+ or for that matter Facebook.
