The first dual core handset from Sony Ericsson, the Xperia Duo is expected to arrive in September. A Chinese forum and a website have already published leaked pictures of the device that runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Like the Droid 3 launched by Motorola recently, the Xperia Duos 4.5 inch screen touchscreen could have 960540 pixel qHD resolution.
There is no information on the manufacturer of the processor, but the dual core CPU inside Xperia Duo is expected to be clocked at 1.4 GHz. So users can expect a very fast and seamless experience while browsing and while dealing with apps. The device scores high marks when it comes to camera, which is of 12 megapixels and features an Exmor R CMOS imaging sensor and LED flash. It will let you record 1080p full HD video and also play the same.
The incorporation of so many high end hardware and software features, make it necessary for Sony Ericsson to add a 2500mAh battery, which packs ample juice for keeping the device running for at least a day. However, it is still now known at what price the Xperia Duo is going to be retailed.
