Tech blogs are rife with rumours that the screen resolution in what is being billed, as the iPad 3 could be twice as high. Basically this would be a pro device that can be used for high-end photography, special effects and editing.
According to sources, Apple is currently working on new software that will cater to these high-end applications.
However, things like a super high screen resolution turn out to be quite pricey. So there could be a significant upward revision in the price of the iPad 3. Apple has already placed the orders for large number of high-resolution screens that will go into its new iPad. The difference between the iPad 2 and the iPad 3 could turn out to be as significant in what we have in case of MacBook and MacBook Pro.
Apple products have always been distinguished by this elite tag. With the advent of an advanced and pricey iPad 3, the feeling of an elite product is going to be further emphasised.
