HCL inaugurate new tech hub in India

Touted as a Green Hub by the company, the facility will employ over 3000 people

New Delhi: HCL Technology has inaugrates its new tech facility in Manesar, Haryana. The facility was inaugrated by Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister of Haryana in the presence of the Guest of Honour Kapil Sibal, Minister of Human Resource Development of the Government.

The Manesar HCL Tech Hub is a green and intelligent facility which will employ over 3,200 people housed in 9,00,000 square feet of eco friendly buildings with an investment of Rs 260 Crore, and will generate Rs 1000 Cr ($225 Mn) in export revenues annually. It also has the capacity to train 1,000 technology professionals at any given point in time.

According to the official statement, the company started building its network of technology hubs in India with the launch of its first HCL Technology Hub in Noida in 2007. The vision behind this unique initiative is to create a web of seamlessly networked tech hubs across India where the best and brightest minds would come together to create technologies of the future, building Indias potential to become a technology source for the rest of the world.

On this occasion, Shiv Nadar, Founder, HCL & Chairman, HCL Technologies said, Ever since we started three and a half decades back, we learned to think on our feet and yet think ahead. So a few years back, given the growth potential and aspirations of India and its technology industry, we decided to launch a series of seamlessly networked HCL Technology Hubs across India. The Hubs will not just house and incubate HCLs global businesses but also add to the countrys ability to become a source for cutting edge technologies for the world.

HCLs Technology Hubs are also coming up in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Nagpur with a spread of over 300 acres nationally. HCL envisions its Hubs will be among the finest in the world and will catalyze many such more in the future journey of Indian technology & IT creation.
