
IT NEXT and Vodafone had recently launched The Hunt for Impact program to find individuals in the IT community who have ideas targeted towards social issues which have the potential to make an impact on society as a whole.
Milind Khamkar, CIO, Sanofi India; Yatish Bhatia, AVP - Technology, ICICI Lombard and Paresh Haria, CTO, PCS Tech have won from Mumbai, where the program was held on 22 May 2014.
Khamkar's idea of “Find & Reach the HCP” leveraged a query management platform with a scalable, robust IT infrastructure to assist people on medical emergencies.
Bhatia's idea leveraged Vodafone’s Global Virtual Network (GVN) and Location Tracker to make Mumbai roads safer for women.
To reduce the uncertainty of public transport availability, Haria wants to use GPS based Vehicle Tracking System / Device (w/SIM) and leverage M2M.
These three ideas made it to the top and the IT leaders were awarded the title of Chief Impact Officer- The New CIO.
