Mark Zuckerbergs sister leaves Facebook

When your surname of Zuckerberg, eyebrows will be raised even if you leave Facebook for a valid reason.

After a six-year tenure, Mark Zuckerberg's 29-year-old elder sister Randi, who also happens to be Facebook's marketing director, is leaving her brothers company. She has already handed her resignation. Randi has also tweeted about her exit from the social networking site that now boasts of more than 750 million users.
Her Twitter post said, It is with mixed emotions that I announced my departure from Facebook today to launch my own initiative.

In another tweet she said, Thanks everyone for the incredible outpouring of support and enthusiasm for my next adventure. So grateful. More info coming shortly!

Randi has given a more complete picture of why she is leaving Facebook in the letter that she wrote to Facebook bosses, COO Sheryl Sandberg and communications chief Elliot Schrage. She said, My goal is to launch my own innovative programming and work with media companies to develop their programming in new, and more social ways. In attacking this challenge, Facebook will clearly be a central element in all of my projects. I plan to demonstrate that ANYONE can do groundbreaking media work on the platform. And to the extent it makes sense for you, I'd be happy to advise Facebook on media projects, 'Facebook Live' or other initiatives if it is desired.

She is known to have ended her resignation letter with a smiley-face emoticon. Her new company is known as RtoZMedia. She already owns the website for this company, which has a teaser landing page that reveals very little about her the planned venture. It is clear that she is aiming to build a marketing powerhouse in Silicon Valley aimed at social media companies. However, one thing is sure, Google+ will not be on her list of possible clients.
