In New Delhi: CA has announced the availability of CA Agile Vision Team Edition, the first native Force.com agile development planning tool, designed to enable companies to manage application development entirely in the cloud.
CA Agile Vision is built to leveraging salesforce.com's Force.com platform and is based on technology used by salesforce.com for its Sales and Service Cloud apps. The new offering is being demonstrated with an integration to salesforce.com's Chatter for integrated social collaboration, a product that is scheduled for general availability later this year.
"For those seeking to leverage an agile software development process, coordinating effective project and portfolio planning and prioritization in conjunction with a compelling SaaS solution can enable users to quickly adopt technology as they strive to deliver robust software releases in less time," Melinda Ballou, program director for IDC's Application Life-Cycle Management research said.
"With this new CA offering, organizations have the opportunity to increase collaboration across the enterprise and improve the product development process," Ballou added
As a service delivered in the cloud, it frees teams to concentrate on faster, more efficient application development rather than costly and time-consuming software installation and maintenance.
The company informed that it is priced at $15 per user per month, teams can purchase the product online with a credit card and plan their first sprints in 15 minutes.

"As the first native agile planning app available on Force.com, CA Agile Vision provides customers with a solution to help them innovate in app development faster and better than ever before by incorporating the social features of Force.com," Collins added
CA Agile Vision is the newest solution in CA's portfolio of on-demand applications, including CA Clarity PPM On Demand, CA Service Desk on Demand, and CA RMDM On Demand. To further improve agile product development in the enterprise, CA is planning to release an enterprise edition of CA Agile Vision that will be integrated with CA Clarity PPM, the project and portfolio management system.
CA Agile Vision Team Edition is available now on salesforce.com's AppExchange and at ca.com/agile for $15 per user per month. CA is also offering a free 30-day trial of CA Agile Vision Team Edition for up to five users.
