In If you are looking for some really low cost tablets, then MSI will soon be offering you some reasonable sounding options. The Taiwanese computer maker has announced that it intends to launch low cost tablets starting Rs.13, 999 in the Indian market.
These series of tablets known as Enjoy come in two variants. The 10-inch Enjoy 10 is for Rs 13,999 and 7-inch Enjoy 7 is for Rs 14,999.
MSI India general manager, Eric Kuo, said, Our products do not have some prominent features such as 3G and GPS because we do not see enough market for the same in a country like India currently which reduces the cost of the products to a great extent.
Both the tablets make use of the Android OS and are equipped with dual 2 mega pixel cameras, 4 GB internal storage space micro-SD card slot (max 32 GB) and has a battery life of 5 hours. Both the tablets are powered by 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, and have 512MB of RAM.
The tablet market in the country is already cluttered with large number of players.
So MSI will have to complete with some fairly advanced brands like Motorola, HTC, Apple, RIM and Samsung.
