In New Delhi:NetApp and Microsoft have teamed up to collaborate and deliver technology solutions for enterprises. The alliance is aimed to improve the technical integration between the two companies.
According to a company release, the tie up will enable them to offer cost effective solutions in cloud computing, virtualisation and data storage and management applications.
The partnership will include collaboration and integration of all virtualisation infrastructure applications running on Windows Server 2008 R2, Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2, Microsoft Systems Center and NetApp storage systems.
These solutions can provide reliable data availability and streamlined data management, and can help maximise server and storage utilisation by using 50% less storage compared to a baseline of traditional storage, the NetApp release said.
Both companies will participate in engagements with channel partners and leading systems integrators.
