New Delhi: IBM has bagged a five year managed services deal from Quippo-WTTIL, the worlds largest independent telecom infrastructure company. Under the aggrement, IBM will provide the comprehensive technical support to overhaul Quippo-WTTIL IT infrastructure system which will include managing the hardware, mailing and infrastructure management software applications. The release further adds that IBM will deploy server and storage support, networking and security services at QUIPPO-WTTILs hosted data centre in Gurgaon. And will also host and manage Quippo-WTTILs Lotus Notes and provide managed services for all offices across the country.
According to the official release, the agreement is a step towards creating a unified IT environment for the successful functioning of the joint entity - Quippo-WTTIL. The technology services provided by IBM will synchronize the companys business processes enabling maximum operational efficiency. IBM will deploy server and storage support, networking and security services at QUIPPO-WTTILs hosted data centre in Gurgaon. IBM will also host and manage Quippo-WTTILs Lotus Notes and provide managed services for all offices across the country.
