Mumbai: Hexaware has announced that it is working with Oracle to enhance its Legacy Modernization services using the Oracle Tuxedo Application Runtime for CICS and Batch 11g and Oracle Tuxedo Application Rehosting Workbench 11g.
According to the official release, Oracle Tuxedo 11g, the application server for mission critical C/C++ and COBOL applications, is designed for running large-scale, reliable distributed enterprise applications. Oracle Tuxedo Application Runtime for CICS and Batch provides the mainframe runtimes and, together with the migration tools provided by the Workbench, helps in mainframe migration, while preserving existing application assets.
"Hexaware has the expertise on legacy modernization services and has helped many customers migrate from their high-cost legacy applications to modern platforms. We have executed over 20 million lines of legacy code migration into modern technologies. With our vast experience in this domain, this partnership will provide future-proof Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to our customers", Ramanan R V, President Global Delivery and Chief Software Architect, Hexaware Technologies said.
"Modernization solutions using our new Oracle Tuxedo Application Runtime for CICS and Batch and Oracle Tuxedo Application Rehosting Workbench can speed up and reduce the cost and risk associated with mainframe re-hosting projects," Lance Knowlton, Vice President, Platform Migrations at Oracle said.
As part of this effort, Oracle will provide training to Hexaware's technical team in addition to field and technical support. Hexaware will develop proof of concepts towards modernizing the applications in various technologies/platforms. Oracle and Hexaware will engage in joint go-to-market activities to take this combined offering to customers.
