SAP drives software accessibility standards

Collaborates with Xaviers Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged to facilitate employability of differently abled

SAP India has announced its collaboration with Xaviers Resource Centre for the Visually challenged (XRCVC) to launch Project Accessibilitya unique initiative to promote accessibility standards in enterprise software to facilitate employability of the differently-abled in the public and private sector.

To aid this project, SAP has set up a team to test SAP software for accessibility needs. The team will define and maintain the accessibility standards keeping in mind the needs of visually impaired, envisaging usage of software and performs internal accessibility technology assessments as per globally defined parameters.

SAP and XRCVC will jointly explore avenues for employment opportunities with SAP customers and ecosystem.
