Now India's own web tool for sustainability

Developed by ITC Infotech, the tool has pre-configured templates based on various sustainability standards

28 November 2011

ITC Infotech, a fully owned subsidiary of ITC Ltd that provides IT services and solutions to global clients, has launched a new package called OptSustain. Touted as India’s first such indigenously developed product, it has been purpose-built with the aim of simplifying the process of sustainability management across the globe.

The package was showcased at an exhibition during the sixth annual conference on Sustainability Solutions by CII ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development held at The Lalit in New Delhi recently. The product has been developed to internalize and improve an organization’s commitment to sustainable development in a way that can be demonstrated to both internal and external stakeholders.

Umashankar, Global Practice Head - Corporate Sustainability, ITC Infotech, said, “This feature-rich tool with in-built intelligence can not only help an organization evaluate, monitor and manage sustainability-related data, but can also help CXOs in taking informed business decisions. The overall objective of this product is to create, protect and grow long-term environmental, social and economic value for all stakeholders involved in bringing products and services to market in near future.”

OptSustain is a web-enabled tool enriched with pre-configured templates based on national and international reporting standards. It allows users to input and validate data, and generate actual reports, charts, dashboards, analysis reports and plans, which are an integral part of any Sustainability or Management Performance report.
